About the role and tasks

In the role of support educator, you work to improve and guide the pedagogical work. You work as part of the team where regular work occurs while you are there as an extra support for employees.

In the role of support educator, you have set aside time for pedagogical work, which may include guiding employees in challenging work situations, updating yourself on the latest studies on clear pedagogics, guiding in documentation, or collaborating with other support educators.

To succeed in the role, you live our values: listen, learn, and lead, where you, together with our support assistants and pedagogical coordinators, support our users to live the life they desire.

About us

Within LSS in Lund municipality, we support people with disabilities of all ages. You can work with adults in group homes or service housing where we support the user in everyday life with e.g. cooking, cleaning, as well as leisure and cultural activities, or daily activities where we offer meaningful employment based on the user's needs and wishes.

We also offer short-term supervision and short-term stays for children, youth, and young adults with autism and other disabilities aged 4 years and up. Here we provide recreation and leisure activities that give you both physical and mental stimulation, as well as opportunities for environmental change, stimulation, and community with others.

The operations, apart from daily activities, are open 24/7, which means working day/evening and every other weekend. On-call duty may occur in some units.

We are looking for you who

• Have post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits or a combination that corresponds to at least two semesters of full-time studies.
• Have experience working with the target group and LSS operations.
• Have good knowledge and experience of clear pedagogics/TEACH.
• Have good knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches.
• Can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good knowledge of relevant documentation tools.
• Basic knowledge of digital work tools.

In some units, we require a driver's license.
