About the Assignment

As a personal assistant in the city of Helsingborg, you work with all senses to create high-quality care, and much of the work takes place in the client's home environment.

We are now looking for a personal assistant for a male client with Huntington's disease, who has significant care needs. Huntington's disease is a neurological condition that gradually impairs movement, thought, and psyche. At certain times of the day, double staffing is required. It may be good to know that the client is a smoker and that there is a cat in the home.

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant with us, you work to enable the client to live as rich, active, and independent a life as possible. In practice, this means that you work independently in the client's home and facilitate the things that many of us take for granted. This may involve assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, managing a home, and accompanying and supporting various activities.

Collaboration with relatives and colleagues is an important part of the job. In consultation with the client, individually tailored support, service, and care are planned and designed - all to ensure that the client can live just like others; with quality of life and good living conditions. Other tasks include documentation according to applicable legislation.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to be a trained nursing assistant, have basic computer skills and documentation experience, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience in care work is important, and if you have experience with Huntington's, it is an advantage.

The work can sometimes be physically demanding, so good physical condition is a benefit.
