We are looking for an engaged field secretary who wants to work proactively and preventively to provide children and young people with good opportunities in life. In this role, you will meet young people where they are – in schools, during leisure time, and in digital environments – and strengthen their own resources to create long-term and sustainable changes. The work is scheduled and includes both weekdays and weekend evenings.

Your mission

As a field secretary, you will work with early interventions to prevent social problems and promote the development and well-being of young people.

Your tasks include:

  • Conducting supportive and proactive work with children and young people from middle school onwards, as well as maintaining contact with guardians
  • Working in school environments and at youth meeting places during evenings and weekends, both physically and digitally
  • Working with conflict management, mediation, and participating in risk zone discussions as needed
  • Collaborating with schools, police, associations, and other stakeholders, as well as organizing group activities and parent meetings
  • Contributing to the development of the organization through ideas, new initiatives, and monitoring of the preventive youth work field

Your experience

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and young people and has experience in proactive or social work.

We expect you to have:

  • A degree in social work or another relevant higher education that the employer considers equivalent
  • A valid driver's license for manual transmission, as travel is part of the job
  • Experience from social services or similar activities is considered an advantage

  • Handle stressful situations calmly and structured, as well as make confident and well-founded decisions
