Do you want to make a difference this summer?
We are now looking for you who want to work as a treatment assistant with us at Bokvillan!
Bokvillan has been around since 2009 and we are proud of the qualified work we do for the citizens of the municipality. We create opportunities for families to find new family patterns that benefit the family and children's development. Our starting point is that children should not be in round-the-clock care more than necessary and that protective factors should be maintained. Therefore, we also work with outpatient care and aftercare.
Bokvillan is staffed around the clock, year-round, and we are now looking for summer substitutes for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
Your role with us
Bokvillan is a home for care and accommodation for families under municipal management and has a close collaboration with social workers.
The task of the treatment assistants is to create conditions for a functioning intervention for all family members and to motivate and contribute to change. As a treatment assistant, you work to make the implementation of the assignment possible and perform all tasks related to the intervention. Treatment work takes place both individually and in teams, and the work is carried out at the residence, in the families' homes, or at another suitable location. As a summer substitute, you work in a similar way to our regular employees.
Treatment and change work should be communicated with the families and documented in the existing system Journal Digital. In addition, all practical tasks that exist in a residence, such as cleaning, planning, etc., are included. Bokvillan's staff work together in smaller teams as well as across team boundaries to create the best possible conditions, and all staff contribute to creating progression in the case. For us, everyone's combined experience and knowledge are an important foundation for our mission.
Bokvillan works based on Signs of Safety, BBIC (children's needs in focus), attachment theory, and system theory, which means that we work with the whole family and its network to utilize and strengthen protection and resources. The majority of interventions require collaboration with preschool/school and student health, and collaboration with other agencies such as BUP, HAB, and LSS is also important. All families are placed for various reasons and for a limited period. This means that the family continues to go to school, work, and engage in other activities just as they usually do. At Bokvillan, families have their own apartments that are connected to common areas for accommodation.
All new employees receive an introduction and shadowing from both supervisors and colleagues.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has at least a two-year post-secondary education or has started training to become a social worker, social educator, treatment educator, or another education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have an interest and experience in change work and have experience with the target group. If you also have experience working with children and families in treatment work based on attachment and interaction, it is an advantage. Experience with documentation in Journal Digital is a plus. A driver's license for a manual transmission is required for the position.
As a person, you have the ability to work with other people. You are unpretentious and have an easy time listening, showing empathy, and respect. You are good at planning and organizing your work, which means you can set goals, follow up, and complete activities. For us, it is important that you can perform in a pressured environment, be optimistic, and handle difficult situations that may arise in the work.
When applicants are offered employment, those who will work at a HVB home must show a specific extract from the police's criminal record according to the Social Services Act Chapter 6, § 1.
