Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place in elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
Disability services and social psychiatry is one of three departments within the social care administration. The department is responsible for LSS housing, daily activities, housing support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are about 250 employees who work with great commitment, focusing on the individual's needs and based on a belief in the individual's own abilities. We work purposefully to ensure that our operations have high competence and quality.
Within the department, we work for collaboration between workplaces and competence development for our employees. Therefore, we work in collaborative groups where we help each other meet the needs in our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that you as a future employee will have a regular workplace where you work the majority of your shifts, and some shifts may be carried out at another workplace.
Do you want to make a difference every day? Pantzargatan's service housing is now looking for a Support Educator! Our housing consists of 10 apartments, two of which are satellite apartments, and is aimed at individuals within group 3. We are looking for a stable and secure person. You have a pedagogical approach and are driven by building relationships and creating security. With attentiveness and respect, you meet each individual where they are and are motivated to strengthen participation and independence among individuals with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The basic task means that in your daily work you support and guide the users based on a pedagogical and practical approach in their daily lives. All with the aim of enabling users to achieve increased independence and realize the highest possible quality and participation in everyday life.
As a support educator, in addition to the basic task, you have a mission to guide colleagues in being a good role model in the pedagogical daily work. You develop working methods and approaches together with colleagues, implement, teach, and follow up pedagogical methods based on the individual user's needs. As a Support Educator, you guide in planning user-centered work based on implementation plans and create and follow up routines and job descriptions.
Based on good and clear communication and good reception, your task is to create calm and security for the users regardless of the situation.
Within the department, you mainly collaborate with other support educators, support assistants, and management to continuously develop the operations and achieve set goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need to be secure in yourself and have the ability to inspire others to achieve jointly set goals. You are flexible in your approach and enjoy working in a changing environment. We see that you are interested in development issues, have the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice, and take responsibility for your own learning. You are easy to collaborate with and enjoy working both independently and in a team. The work involves many contact points, and you therefore need to be able to collaborate both within and outside the organization. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Qualifications:
- You have completed 200 higher vocational education credits as a support educator or 60 higher education credits in the relevant field or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- You should have good computer skills and find it exciting to work with digital tools.
- As the work involves social documentation, good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required.
Desirable:
- Experience and/or theoretical knowledge of low-affective approaches & clarifying pedagogy.
- Experience and/or knowledge of sign language support.
- We expect that you have good knowledge of the target group and at least one year of experience in the field.
- Previous experience as a support educator.
