Region Stockholm has the overall responsibility for ensuring that everyone living in or visiting the region has access to a well-developed, easily accessible, and reliable public transport system. The mission of the Traffic Administration (TF) is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope of a long-term sustainable public transport system. Additionally, we are responsible for the management and monitoring of traffic operations as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. Every day, more than 700,000 people travel using public transport, including the subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains.

About the Assignment

The position is referred to as Technical IT Specialist and is located in the Technical & Traffic Services section of the IT department, in the access area.

The role serves as the central technical contact point for IT suppliers and internal stakeholders in the access area. It acts as a technical expert in both daily management and development initiatives. The role is crucial for ensuring a stable, secure, and cost-effective IT environment over time. The position functions as a technical bridge between business needs and the delivered IT solution, with a deep responsibility for ensuring that the system landscape is sustainable and well-maintained.

 The assignment includes tasks such as:

• Ensuring that the services within the area are delivered in accordance with agreed service levels and ensuring that the lifecycle of the area's services is managed according to plan
• Monitoring changes and being responsible for release and incident management in the area's services
• Responsible for handling complex
• troubleshooting in access systems and ensuring that errors are resolved together with others in the team or external suppliers
• Ensuring that necessary technical documentation, operational procedures, and instructions are available
• Responsible for continuously following up and driving progress on approved actions in management plans and reporting status and deviations
• Ensuring that follow-up and supplier collaboration occur according to plan
• Ensuring that necessary procurements and agreements for services within the area are made
• Preparing and ensuring budget and forecasts for the area
• Responsible for managing financial documentation, such as invoicing, forecasting, and budget work

Competence Requirements

• Must have at least three (3) years of experience in operational management or technical support of access systems or related access and security systems in a professional role.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience working according to structured processes for incident, change, and problem management in an IT-related management or operational environment.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience creating and updating technical documentation or operational/process descriptions in IT-related activities.
• Must have at least two (2) years of documented experience in independent troubleshooting, technical support, and problem-solving in access systems.
• Must have at least three (3) years of documented experience working with information and IT security. The experience should include work with security requirements, compliance assessment, and action identification in professional environments where IT security is a stated and governing part of the business.

Value-Added Requirements

• Should have at least two (2) years of experience working with or for the public sector/authorities.
• Should have at least one (1) year of experience in basic financial monitoring (e.g., invoices, simple budget and forecasting) within IT-related assignments.
• Should have at least three (3) years of experience in project planning, practical work with installation and configuration of hardware and firmware related to one or more of the access systems Kaba Exos, Assa Abloy Arx, Tidomat, Assa Abloy Cliq.
• Should have at least two (2) years of experience in server operations (Windows or Linux), such as patching or upgrades.
• Should have at least two (2) years of experience developing, configuring, or implementing integrations with one or more of the following access systems: Kaba Exos, ASSA ABLOY ARX, Tidomat, or ASSA ABLOY CLIQ.
