Cancer Foundation is looking for an experienced full-stack developer with a strong focus on backend who wants to help develop modern, scalable system solutions.

The role is placed within the Tech, Data, and Business Development unit and involves a key position in the development of web and business systems together with the development team. The environment is characterized by technology, quality, and collaboration.

About the role:

As a full-stack developer at Cancer Foundation, you will play a key role in the development of digital services and platforms. You will work with the entire chain - from system design and architecture to implementation and operation. The focus is on backend development in a .NET environment, but it is appreciated if you enjoy variety in your work and are interested in exploring other programming languages as Cancer Foundation has support systems written in Ruby on Rails, among others. You will also contribute to frontend solutions as needed, built in React and NextJS.

You will be part of a team with significant responsibility and strategic height, which has overall ownership of the solution – from idea to delivery and further development. The team works closely together, with a high degree of autonomy and influence over technology choices, architecture, and working methods. You report to the Head of Tech, Data, and Business Development.

Cancer Foundation is looking for someone who sees development opportunities and is an innovative and creative problem solver. You are structured and self-driven, prioritize the team and collaboration, and share your knowledge. You should be comfortable taking responsibility and driving development forward together with the team.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications built in .NET and Ruby on Rails

• Work with SQL databases and ensure performance and data integrity

• Design and implement system integrations between internal and external systems

• Work in a service-oriented architecture and contribute to the development of the technical platform

• Drive innovation, new development, and improvement based on business needs

To succeed in this role, we believe you have good experience in:

• Object-oriented languages, such as C#

• SQL and database development

• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)

• System integrations and APIs

• Service-oriented architecture and microservices
