Criminal Care seeks Sub-Management Leader

Criminal Care is growing – we are building new, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, detention centers, and client transport.

The section for operational support and analysis is responsible for the development and management of Criminal Care's client administrative systems for probation, detention, and prison. The systems should support client-related work, be functional and user-friendly, and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders for quality-assured information.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To fit the role of Sub-Management Leader, we believe you have good leadership skills and in-depth knowledge within your sub-management area. As a Sub-Management Leader, you have overall responsibility for the sub-management area of enforcement within the management object enforcement Criminal Care Register (KVR). The role involves leading, coordinating, and directing management work based on established goals, priorities, and operational needs on behalf of the management leader.

You represent the sub-management area in preparatory and decision-making forums and play a central role in creating structure, direction, and progress in management work. The work involves leading, planning, and coordinating ongoing and upcoming assignments as well as development efforts, ensuring maintenance and long-term development based on the needs of the operation, and following up on established goals and quality in deliveries. The role also includes ensuring that training, manuals, and authorization structures are current and appropriate.

You report to the management leader, actively participate in sub-management leader meetings, and contribute to a well-functioning collaboration between operations, IT, and other partners, both internally and externally. The role requires the ability to make decisions, work strategically, and exercise clear functional leadership.

The position is a pilot project for at least one year and is located at Criminal Care's headquarters in Norrköping within the national department for prison, detention, and probation, with the possibility of placement in Stockholm.

QUALIFICATIONS

With a high quality awareness, you ensure that the work meets good standards and follows set goals.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Higher education or other training combined with extensive work experience that Criminal Care deems relevant
  • Solid experience of working within Criminal Care's core operations, with in-depth understanding of the enforcement process
  • Several years of experience in leadership roles within management or other core operations
  • Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work within management, assignments, or development efforts
  • Experience representing the organization in internal and external collaborations
  • Good ability to take responsibility and make decisions in complex contexts
  • Very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Leadership training or equivalent experience in leadership roles
  • Education in governance, management, or operational development
  • Experience in developing and managing governing documents, routines, and training materials
  • Experience in cross-agency collaboration within the justice system
  • Experience in strategic planning
  • Knowledge of management models and governance forms
  • Knowledge to lead meetings and communicate decisions in a clear and trust-building manner
