About the Job
In the role of switchboard operator/receptionist, your main tasks will consist of standard duties such as forwarding calls and receiving visitors.
Within the Swedish Transport Agency, we have a common switchboard and we are located in three places: Borlänge, Örebro, and Norrköping. Our reception is open every weekday between 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. In the switchboard, we receive calls from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, except on Fridays when the switchboard closes at 1:00 PM. You are an important person as you receive our visitors and ensure that both our internal and external guests always feel welcome.
You will
- work as a switchboard operator as your main task
- receive visitors in our reception.
You must have
- turned at least 18 years old by the start of employment
- completed a high school education with final grades, vocational diploma, or university preparatory diploma
- current experience in a role where the phone is the primary tool, handling call forwarding and call queues
- very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
- very good ability to express yourself verbally in English.
We would like you to attach grades/certificates for your ongoing or completed education.
It is advantageous if you also have experience
- of having worked as a receptionist
- of having worked as a switchboard operator
- of Telia's telephone systems Ace Agent or Ace Interact
- of working in a qualified telephone system
- of previous work in government administration.

More Information
The employment is temporary for 8-11 weeks during the period from June to August, with a possibility of extension. The position is 75% full-time. The job is located in Norrköping.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.

About the Legal Department
The Legal Department consists of five units. The legal units guide and support the agency's various departments in legal matters, and the Registratur unit is responsible for registration, reception, and switchboard. We are located in several places, with our main office in Norrköping.
We contribute to a uniform and efficient handling of the Swedish Transport Agency's needs for governance and support in legal matters and in linguistic matters within regulation. We provide guidance and support in record-keeping, ad acta, and archiving, access card management, visitor reception, and switchboard.
