Who are we?

The Guardian Supervisory Unit is part of the municipal director's office, and we are responsible for recruiting and training guardians and trustees. Additionally, we are a supervisory authority that oversees guardians, trustees, and custodians.

Our unit consists of 21 employees in various professions such as guardian supervisors, lawyers, caseworkers, economists, committee secretaries, committee lawyers, and unit managers. The office is centrally located in Norrköping, with good public transport connections.

We are a cheerful group that cares about each other and our work environment. It is important to us that employees have a sustainable work life and can combine professional work with family and leisure. We also work to utilize the skills present in the group and ensure that all employees have the opportunity to develop in their roles. Together, we aim to create legal certainty, security, and good social services for those living in Norrköping.

We are now looking for 2 summer temporary employees who want to join our team and contribute!

Your Responsibilities

As a guardian supervisor, you will handle, investigate, and supervise cases related to guardianship, trusteeship, and custodianship according to applicable legislation. You will make decisions in cases and work with authority-related tasks.

You will be offered a varied role with multiple points of contact. You will be responsible for initiating and managing new cases where you communicate with guardians and trustees in individual matters. Furthermore, you will also have contact with authorities, courts, and administrations affected by the supervisory unit's oversight.

You will work in a team where you share experiences and discuss cases. If needed, you will involve a legal colleague to clarify more complex matters.

Who are you?

You have an ongoing or completed university education in social work, behavioral science, law, economics, or another field that the employer deems equivalent.

We would like you to have experience in authority-related work, and we view positively if you also have experience in supervisory work.

As a person, you have a positive attitude that reflects in your collaboration with others. You are attentive to others' perspectives and share knowledge and information with your partners. You are a good communicator who adapts your language to the recipient.

You are skilled at organizing your work, prioritizing your tasks effectively based on urgency and importance. You enjoy taking on tasks independently. When necessary, you follow up, consult colleagues, and ensure progress in your processes.

Furthermore, you have a good ability to weigh information and make sound decisions.

The position requires that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
