Join us in keeping Sweden's defense in motion!
It often starts with a request: “Can we get troops and equipment in place faster?” At the Swedish Armed Forces Transport Unit, we work to get everything and everyone where they need to be, when it matters most. We are now looking for an experienced HR generalist who wants to be part of this important mission.
About us
The Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is responsible for logistics support to units, schools, and centers within the Armed Forces (FM) - nationally and internationally. Within FMLOG, there is the Swedish Armed Forces Transport Unit, which has functional management responsibility for the transport service within the Armed Forces and is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the Armed Forces' strategic and operational transports of personnel, equipment, and entire units. Transport is carried out, among other things, as air transport, sea transport, road, and rail transport, both within and outside the country.
About the role
This is an independent role where you will handle concurrent areas and tasks within the HR function, both operationally and strategically. Therefore, we see that you have previous practical experience of working in managerial support. With us, you will be part of the Staff Department together with two other HR generalists located in Stockholm and Boden. Together, you form the managerial support for the Transport Unit's operations in several locations in Sweden. Your role will primarily provide local HR support to the managers within the unit, where the work includes all areas of the HR function, with a particular focus on work environment and gender equality. You will have ongoing contact and collaboration with your HR colleagues, where you will support each other in the daily operations of the unit. Your tasks also include administrative parts such as decision-making basis, support in recruitment, KPI reporting, case management systems, meeting minutes, registry maintenance, reporting within work environment and rehabilitation, etc.
Requirements
- University or college degree in HR or equivalent competence deemed comparable by the employer
- At least five years of work experience in operational managerial support, preferably within the public sector
- Experience in practical work environment and gender equality efforts.
Personal qualities
As the HR generalists in the unit are also functionally managed by the HR section at FMLOG Staff, we welcome you who can independently plan and prioritize incoming tasks from multiple channels of varying nature and level. Qualities such as solution focus, a high level of personal responsibility, initiative, and flexibility are of great importance. A prerequisite for success in this role is a salutogenic attitude topped with humility and patience. You easily create good relationships and build networks – something that is valuable in our collaboration-intensive everyday life. You thrive in and navigate through periods of changing pace and work systematically, taking responsibility for getting things done on time. You have good communication skills and proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Personal suitability is highly valued.
