About the position

As a senior controller, you will play a central role in leading the finance function at the infrastructure staff.

You will coordinate the staff's budget and forecasting work and act as a support and sounding board in financial matters at a strategic level for the head of the infrastructure staff and its management team. You will be responsible for the overall financial coordination within the staff and function as a counterpart to the authority's management and finance staff in matters concerning financial management and follow-up.

Your tasks will include conducting analyses, consolidating financial information, reporting, and preparing relevant decision-making materials, as well as participating in the infrastructure staff's management group. You will make decisions regarding consultations before the infrastructure staff's decisions on financial matters and support larger projects with financial materials and assessments. Furthermore, you will be responsible for coordinating the staff's investments.

You will also be part of the authority's controller network and contribute to the development of working methods and routines.

About you

We are looking for someone with an academic education in finance or another qualification that we consider equivalent. You have current and relevant experience working with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, planning, follow-up, and financial management from a medium-sized or larger organization. To succeed in this role, you also need to have current and relevant experience in budgeting, planning, and follow-up within projects and assignments, as well as experience supporting managers and employees in financial matters. The position requires excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good skills in MS Office, especially Excel.

It is advantageous if you have experience in leadership and work as a controller or equivalent in the public sector. We would also like you to have worked in business intelligence systems, such as Power BI or similar. Additionally, experience with overall work on investments is a plus.
