Investigator at the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS)
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with addiction issues. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with addiction across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. No matter where in our organization you work or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
At the headquarters in Solna Business Park, we are about 400 employees, and together we work to support and develop the authority with around 5000 employees.
Job Description
Do you want to work in a role where your expertise is translated into concrete development work that makes a real difference for society's most vulnerable? Then a position where you work for meaningful and forward-looking compulsory care for children, youth, and clients within the Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) may be for you. At SiS's section for operational development, we develop, standardize, and follow up on interventions and methods within social care and treatment. Our goal is safe and secure care of good quality, with a common and knowledge-based approach throughout the authority. We are now strengthening the section with several investigators.
The section for operational development is part of the Research and Development Department at SiS's headquarters. We provide guiding and practical support that facilitates a uniform care and treatment within SiS. We work closely with the operations from a national perspective and translate knowledge into guidelines and support materials that can be used in everyday life. Often, the work is carried out in projects and assignments, in collaboration with other parts of the authority and with external actors.
Your Assignment
As an investigator, you will work to develop and manage the structures that make care and treatment clear, feasible, and equitable throughout SiS. We are looking for several investigators and will distribute tasks based on competence and the needs of the operations. The work is based on a rights-based perspective and is conducted in close dialogue with the operations. The role may therefore include:
- Standardizing SiS's care and treatment content and implementation through guidelines, instructions, treatment manuals, and documentation support
- Developing and further developing working methods and methods for SiS's care and treatment content
- Working with follow-up and evaluation in close collaboration with SiS's systematic quality work
- Driving or participating in the work with government assignments and internal investigations and development projects
- Collaborating with other parts of SiS as well as with external actors, including civil society
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree of at least 180 credits in psychology, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or similar, alternatively other education combined with experience that SiS assesses as equivalent
- Experience of independent investigative work
- Experience in developing, managing, or working with guiding support, such as guidelines, instructions, manuals, or equivalent
- Very good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is an advantage if you have:
- A degree in psychology or social work
- Experience of independent investigative work within public operations and in the field of care and treatment
- Experience in method development, implementation, documentation, or operational support related to social care and treatment interventions
- Experience in systematic quality work
- Experience working with CBT and RBM
- Experience in project management
We are looking for someone who has the ability to structure, analyze, and process material. You also need to be able to finalize and present reports clearly and accessibly. The role requires flexibility, responsiveness, and very good communication and collaboration skills. You enjoy switching between strategic development work and concrete method support and find it easy to build good relationships in collaboration with colleagues and partners. The nature of the work places high demands on integrity, and great importance will therefore be placed on your personal suitability. Last but not least, you have a strong commitment to society and share SiS's values: Respect, Care, and Clarity.
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you, as an employee, take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
