Within the social care administration, about 1200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the staffing and recruitment unit, we work with recruitment, staffing, and scheduling in Ystad Municipality. We are a unit that has grown significantly in recent years and currently works with several of the municipality's administrations. We are a wonderful team with high competence in our field who are happy to share our experiences. We believe that the path to success lies in being better together.

You will be part of a team of four staffing assistants. You all work towards elderly care, disability services, social psychiatry, health care, as well as food and cleaning services. These areas are divided into responsibilities where each staffing assistant is responsible for following up on temporary staff, reviewing the staffing system, and managing tasks related to their area.

You will work all year round, including public holidays. Working hours are scheduled between 06:30 and 16:00, with some days ending earlier. Weekend work occurs according to a rotating schedule, where you work every third weekend. Solo work occurs on weekends and public holidays, and occasionally on other days.

As a staffing assistant, your main task is to ensure that our units have the right staffing at the right time and with the right competence. You work proactively to solve vacant shifts, follow up on over- and under-capacity, and ensure that our systems are kept updated. Customer focus and a good approach are obvious parts of your daily work. Employees from the municipality also come to take their medication tests, where staff from the staffing and recruitment unit supervise and administer the delegations in our systems.

You will have close collaboration with unit managers, temporary staff, and colleagues in the staffing unit, and you will be involved in developing new effective solutions for future staffing.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, structured, and can handle a high pressure of tasks. You have a solution-focused work approach, good collaboration skills, and thrive with many tasks at hand. You are confident in making decisions and have a good ability to prioritize in pressured situations. You also have an interest in systems and development, as well as an understanding of staffing issues and labor law regulations, such as the Working Hours Act.

Requirements:

  • Experience in work where you have independently worked to fill vacant shifts with temporary staff, or in a role that the employer deems equivalent
  • Good computer skills
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • Good knowledge of the Working Hours Act

Meritorious

  • Experience with Time Care Pool and Plan
  • Worked as a staffing assistant/staffing planner or in a role that the employer deems equivalent
  • Experience from care and nursing
  • Experience from the public sector
