Investigator in the Education Sector
Do you want to be part of a team that works to ensure legal security and effective use of public funds in the education sector? As an investigator at our authority, you will play a central role in the supervision of the education programs that fall within our responsibility.
As an investigator, you will be part of our supervisory activities and work on a varied investigative work that has a direct societal benefit. You will be part of a competent team where you collectively develop and improve the authority's supervisory methods. The work involves planning, conducting, and concluding supervisory assignments, ensuring that all relevant aspects are reviewed.
The position also involves regular contacts with students, education providers, and other stakeholders related to the education programs. In some supervisory cases, site visits to education providers are conducted, which means that travel within Sweden may occur.
Qualifications
- Relevant higher education or university degree at least SeQF level 6 or equivalent competence deemed equivalent by the authority
- Current experience in qualified investigative and analytical work
- Good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish, which is necessary for daily work
- Good IT skills and very good knowledge of the Office suite
Desirable
- Experience in report writing and oral presentations
- Experience in the education sector
Personal Attributes
We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, meticulous, and responsible. In the role of investigator, you will plan and conduct supervisory assignments independently, which requires your ability to structure and prioritize work effectively. You convey complex information clearly and pedagogically, both orally and in writing, allowing you to communicate effectively with different target groups. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with others, both internally and with external actors.
We also place great importance on your awareness of the demands for integrity, impartiality, and objectivity that come with working in a government authority.
Organizational Placement
The unit for supervision and study documentation is located in Hässleholm and currently consists of 18 employees. The unit is responsible for supervising the education programs within the authority's area of responsibility and handling study documentation for the education forms that the authority is responsible for.
The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education's main task is to be responsible for issues concerning higher vocational education in Sweden and to ensure that the education programs meet the labor market's need for competence. We are also responsible for post-secondary arts and culture education as well as interpreter training within folk education. We also promote and coordinate validation issues and are the national coordination point for the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). We analyze the labor market's need for education, decide which programs should be included in higher vocational education, and grant state funds to education providers. The authority supervises and handles complaints about the education programs that fall within our area of responsibility. We also review the quality of the education programs, produce statistics, and follow up on the results of the education programs.
The Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education has about 150 employees distributed across nine units with its headquarters in Västerås and an office in Hässleholm.
