The Corporate Staff for Procurement and Financial Management consists of Region Skåne's function for procurement and the function for financial management, which also includes decision support. Our mission is to be responsible for developing effective governance with a focus on economy and quality from Region Skåne's perspective.

We are now looking for a driven colleague for the Controlling/Monitoring unit, which is part of the Financial Management function. We can offer a role with significant personal responsibility where you have the opportunity to work with strategic issues in collaboration with other experienced colleagues and contribute to the development of Region Skåne.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a business controller, you have a coordinating role within Region Skåne's corporate-wide planning, budgeting, and monitoring work.

The role involves supporting the staff's responsibility for Region Skåne's overall budget and monitoring work, where you contribute to ensuring that planning, financial frameworks, and monitoring are interconnected and ensure effective governance from a holistic perspective. You coordinate colleagues within your own staff as well as other corporate offices to develop decision-making materials, conduct your own analyses, and support both administrative management and political leadership in overarching prioritization and resource issues. You will also work with process development, where you use methods and tools to map, analyze, and improve our governance processes such as budgeting, management, and monitoring processes. The assignment also includes informing and, if necessary, educating about these processes and participating in other relevant work within the field of financial management.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with process leaders for operational planning and budgeting as well as other central functions and key roles within planning and governance to ensure a coordinated whole.

The position is based in Kristianstad or Malmö.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or another relevant field, as well as several years of experience in budgeting, analysis, governance, or controller work. You have good experience in independently driving and leading development work and processes, as well as very good knowledge of the Office suite. Experience working in a publicly or politically governed organization is an advantage. You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

As a person, you are responsible and have high integrity and personal maturity. You work in a structured and analytical manner, take initiative, and drive your work forward. At the same time, you are unpretentious and have good pedagogical and communicative skills, easily creating trusting relationships. You thrive in a role with many contact points, have a holistic perspective, and can switch between working independently and collaboratively with others. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
