At the Employment and Welfare Unit, we work to find pathways to self-sufficiency for individuals. As an employment consultant, you provide tailored support to individuals with the goal of becoming self-sufficient.

The unit is divided into teams that work towards different target groups and has an active development effort. The teams are quite self-sufficient and very innovative. We work in Lund's municipal building Kristallen with an activity-based working method. As a new employee, it is central for us that you feel welcome and valued. You will receive an introduction that applies to both Lund Municipality, the Employment and Social Services Department, and the Employment and Welfare Unit.

About the role and your tasks

We are looking for two employment consultants for a team that works with individuals receiving social assistance. We work based on a MI-inspired approach and supported employment. The target group consists of individuals in long-term need of social assistance who are further from the labor market. In this role, it is important that you are passionate about providing individual support and have a strong belief in the individual's ability to become self-sufficient through work or studies.

Your tasks will include, based on where the individual is, creating a plan for the path to work or studies. Collaboration occurs with other relevant entities, both internally and externally. Networking with employers is particularly important. We offer guidance and further development through relevant training.

We are looking for you

We are looking for someone with a degree in behavioral science or another higher education qualification deemed equivalent by the employer. The job also requires you to be structured and able to handle administrative tasks as the work involves some documentation. You have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. Good experience with the Office package, Teams, and Lifecare is an advantage.

We believe you have initiative, a drive to find solutions, are relationship-building, and have an interest in development work to create added value for the individual. The tasks require you to be self-sufficient, but you also see the workgroup as an asset.

We see that you have experience meeting individuals in need of individual support. We would like you to have education and/or experience working with municipal or state labor market initiatives, work that requires networking and collaboration. Experience with motivational interviewing (MI) and supported employment (SE) is an advantage.
