Research Assistant for SERA-ETN
The Department of Women's and Children's Health, Uppsala University, hereby announces a 50% position as a research assistant for the network 'Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in the European Region (SERA-ETN).
SERA-ETN is a thematic network funded by ENLIGHT.
Job Responsibilities
The position includes assisting in the organization and administration of the ANSER conference from May 6-8, 2026, in Ghent, Belgium. In close collaboration with the conference organizer, you will be assigned tasks that include communication and marketing, handling registrations, and practical matters related to the conference. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating other activities within the SERA network in consultation with the project leader. This includes organizing seminars, communication between partners in the network, and report writing. The position is located at the Department of Women's and Children's Health, MTC House, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 14B, Uppsala. Work on-site in Ghent before and during the conference in May is expected.
Qualifications
You should have a university degree at an advanced level in global health with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and possess documented experience in administrative work. Ability and experience in planning, initiating, leading, executing, and developing project coordination is an advantage for the position. Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English are required. Good knowledge of Swedish is an asset. You should be comfortable working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience in communication work, website development, and social media administration is also advantageous.
Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities such as analytical ability, flexibility, service orientation, and organizational skills. Furthermore, you should be proactive, enjoy being helpful, have good collaboration skills, and actively participate in teamwork both as a leader and a member, as well as being able to independently perform your tasks.
About the Position
The position is temporary, lasting 3 months. The scope is 50%. Start date immediately as agreed. Location: Uppsala
