Would you like to help create a fun, safe, and developing preschool experience for our children together with us? We are currently looking for a preschool teacher for a fixed-term substitute position at Sävja Preschool. Welcome with your application!

Sävja Preschool is located in the middle of Sävja with good bus connections. The preschool has 104 children divided into three age-appropriate groups. The substitute position is in the block for the oldest children, where you as a preschool teacher will be responsible for a workshop of 10-15 children together with a childcare worker. Your working hours vary from 07:00 to 17:00. This is a substitute position until 2026-12-31 with immediate start. Job Description

As a preschool teacher with us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing your skills, knowledge, and commitment with the child at the center. You are responsible for ensuring that the activities challenge the children to engage in activity, learning, and responsibility. Based on the governing documents, you create a developing, stimulating, and safe environment, where you also lead and inspire colleagues in the educational mission.

This year's project focus is: How do I understand my environment through movement? We explore this together with the children in every conceivable way. It is beneficial if you enjoy being active and physically engaged. With us, you will have time for reflection together with knowledgeable and committed colleagues. We also offer professional development in pedagogical documentation and educational development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

• Swedish preschool teacher certification or teacher certification with the authority to teach in preschool, or are awaiting certification.
• Previous experience of work or internship in preschool.
• Good knowledge of Swedish both spoken and written.
• IT skills with a focus on pedagogical work.
• Good knowledge of the Education Act.
• Good knowledge of the preschool curriculum.

It is meritorious to have supervisor training and knowledge in pedagogical documentation, as well as experience working with children in need of special support.

As a person, you work well with others, you listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are proactive and initiate activities. You also have a good understanding of how people learn and absorb information, and you adapt your message according to the recipient's needs. You motivate, coordinate, and provide others with the conditions and authority needed to effectively achieve common goals. Through your way of working, you create engagement, participation, and act as a natural reference point for others.
