NTI Gymnasiet Uppsala has been around since 2002 and is an attractive high school with over 550 students. About the Position

We are looking for a coordinator for workplace-based learning (APL coordinator) for the school's Electrical and Energy Program. Preferably with previous experience in APL coordination.

We are looking for a relationship-building and network-strong person with good experience in vocational programs in high school, preferably the Electrical and Energy Program with a focus on computer and communication technology (IT).

Students in the Electrical and Energy Program with a focus on computer and communication technology are trained to become future network and support technicians and complete 15 weeks of APL. The education includes installation, administration, and maintenance of computer and communication systems, information security, and work with industry certifications (CERT). The focus leads to professions such as network technician, technical salesperson, support, and service technician.

We are looking for someone who can nurture and develop collaborations with the business community, is responsible for acquiring new APL placements, and manages the administrative processes related to APL.

As an APL coordinator, you are the link between companies, vocational teachers, and students.

You work to ensure access to APL placements. You have contact with students before, during, and after APL and are part of the school's APL team together with teachers, assistant principal, and principal.

The work also includes workplace visits before and during APL to ensure quality and suitability.

You will receive support from the school's APL team but also through a national network of APL coordinators within NTI Gymnasiet as well as from NTI Gymnasiet's international strategist with expertise in school-work life collaboration.

The position is on-site, which means working at the school.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as an APL coordinator and/or who has broad competence in the industry and good insight into high school vocational programs, especially the Electrical and Energy Program with a focus on computer and communication technology (IT). You can establish and develop contacts with companies in the Uppsala region and are passionate about finding suitable APL placements for our students. You thrive in a social role where relationship building is central.

You have a strong communicative ability and a genuine interest in collaboration, as the position involves many contacts with students, teachers, companies, and industry organizations. The role requires flexibility, structure, and a good ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
