JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeing an increase in students at Westerlundska High School, and therefore we need more teachers at the school. You will belong to the Natural Science Program at Westerlundska High School and also be part of a subject team. It is important for us that students have the chance to develop various skills and that knowledge has context. Therefore, we collaborate across subject boundaries. The work team works closely with the students in a cohesive study environment, and we have well-equipped new laboratory facilities. Program teams have significant influence over their work and planning. The main tasks include teaching, assessment, planning, and mentorship. With both physical books, laboratory materials, and digital tools as natural elements in the work, you have excellent opportunities to work variably. Our students have good access to IT tools, and students have a 1:1 solution. We have close collaboration with school management, student health, and pedagogical support.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a teaching license and qualifications to teach chemistry in combination with mathematics or natural science at the high school level.

You adapt your teaching to the needs and prior knowledge of the students and focus on their achievement of goals. You are attentive, flexible, and collaborate well with others. It is important that you value differences and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect oneself and others, taking this into account in your teaching. You understand your role but consider the best interests of the entire organization in your actions and decisions. Personal suitability is of great importance.
