We are looking for someone with the will and courage to make a difference for our municipal primary school in Enköping. The operations at our twelve schools are always evolving, and that’s how we want it. Korsängsskolan is a school with grades F-9 with over 820 students. The school is located in central Enköping with a mixed catchment area, including parts of the urban area and some rural areas. The school was inaugurated in 1948 and has been in operation since then, with extensions and renovations made over the years. The school is popular with high demand, and most students spend all their 10 years at Korsängsskolan.

All activities in the school are permeated by the motto, "We have an uncompromising focus on the best interests of the student, which means one step at a time and always forward." We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, school counselor, and school psychologist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the curriculum.
• Use pedagogical methods to adapt teaching to students' needs.
• Document and follow up on students' development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team.

Responsibilities and challenges:

• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage different learning styles and needs in the classroom.
• Work with conflict management and social development.
• Stay updated on changes in the curriculum and school development.

The middle school at Korsängsskolan has four parallel classes. The position is assigned to a sixth-grade class where you will be responsible for Math/Social Studies and will also act as a mentor for a class.

You will join a team where collaboration and joy at work are key principles in daily life.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Teaching certification with qualifications for the relevant grade and subject
• Good knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogical planning
• IT competence for digital teaching tools and administrative systems
• Experience in teaching at the primary school level

You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the different conditions of individuals. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.

You are relationship-building, outgoing, and socially active in your work. You create contacts and maintain relationships.

You take initiative, enjoy starting activities, and achieving results.

You can maintain your motivation and be effective despite setbacks. You work until tasks are completed and results are achieved.
