We are looking for someone with the will and courage to make a difference for our municipal primary school in Enköping. The operations at our twelve schools are always evolving, and that’s how we want it. With transparency and openness, we strive to develop the structure of the school system because a new era requires methods and approaches adapted to the present and the future. We are looking for someone who wants to actively contribute to this work. Korsängsskolan is a school with grades F-9 with over 820 students. The school is located in central Enköping with a mixed catchment area, including parts of the urban center and some rural areas. The school was inaugurated in 1948 and has been in operation since then, with renovations and expansions made over the years. The school is popular with high demand, and most students spend all their 10 years at Korsängsskolan.

All activities in the school are characterized by our motto: "We have an uncompromising focus on the best interests of the student, which means one step at a time and always forward." We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, school counselor, and school psychologist.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Main responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to the curriculum.
• Use pedagogical methods to adapt teaching to students' needs.
• Document and follow up on students' development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team.

Responsibilities and challenges:

• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Manage different learning styles and needs in the classroom.
• Work with conflict resolution and social development.
• Stay updated on changes in the curriculum and school development.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Teaching license with qualifications for the relevant grade and subject
• Good knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogical planning
• Experience in teaching at the primary school level
• IT competence for digital learning tools and administrative systems

You take initiative, enjoy starting activities, and achieving results. You can maintain your motivation and be effective despite setbacks. You work until tasks are completed and results are achieved.

You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.

You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve collaboration difficulties or conflicts constructively.
