Laban School is an independent adapted school that is part of the Cedergrenska group. The school is located in Uppsala for grades 1-9 and a 4-year high school program. We teach all theoretical subjects/subject areas. The school focuses on culture, educational drama, and theater.

We teach according to the adapted primary school's curricula and syllabuses, as well as the individual program for adapted upper secondary school.

Job Responsibilities

In the school, you will work as a teaching assistant and provide extra support to students in school and/or at the after-school center. You will help students achieve their learning goals to create the best possible study environment and provide them with the care they need during the school day and at after-school. As additional support, you will work alongside teachers in the classroom and at the after-school center as part of a team before and after school hours.

You will be scheduled for work shifts via SMS and must be able to arrive at the workplace within a maximum of 60 minutes from the time the SMS booking is sent to you.

Qualifications

You have a high school diploma, are trained as a childcare worker, or have previous experience working in schools, preferably as a student teacher or considering studying to become a preschool teacher/teacher. We prefer that you have experience working with children, but it is not a requirement. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Approved SFI level D.

In our operations, the law on background checks (2000:873) applies. To work as a substitute, you must present an approved extract from the criminal record for both school and LSS operations. It can be ordered digitally from the Police Authority and must be valid for work within preschool and school.
