Linnéskolan is looking for someone who wants to help shape tomorrow's school and leisure center in Eksjö. Linnéskolan is located in the heart of the city with about 320 students from preschool to grade 6. The school's central location creates good opportunities to utilize the municipality's offerings in culture, sports, and parks. Approximately 50 educators and other key personnel work at the school, with the common goal that all students feel good, are safe, and succeed in their studies. The school's work is characterized by a culture of collaboration where we willingly share and support each other.

The leisure center at Linnéskolan is currently divided into two departments, a larger department for preschool up to grade 2 and a department for students from grade 3 and above. Over the year, we have developed clubs based on students' interests, including clubs focused on MineCraft, Pokemon, drama, and other areas of interest that have emerged from the students. The leisure center employs Eksjö Municipality's lead teachers in leisure, which means that development focus is a significant part of leisure both at Linnéskolan and in the municipality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a primary teacher with a focus on the leisure center, your mission is to work with your colleagues to create situations where students succeed, develop, and thrive. You and your colleagues will stimulate students' development and learning, placing great emphasis on creating meaningful leisure time for students at Linnéskolan's leisure center.

You are responsible for planning, teaching, documenting, and following up on the education in the leisure center together with your colleagues both within and between departments based on our governing documents.

During the school day, we work to ensure that your competencies are utilized effectively. This may involve everything from conducting recess activities, fostering safety in the classroom, to supporting students during lessons and transitions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a primary teacher's degree focused on the leisure center, or alternatively, an educated leisure pedagogue with work experience in the field or who has recently graduated. Applicants with other educational qualifications may also be considered. Experience working in a leisure center is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have a good understanding of the national governing documents for leisure center activities and are confident in your relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You want to take responsibility for and develop the leisure activities at the school. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in interactions. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to take place. With your commitment, you create motivation, and each student is met based on their circumstances, and you have a good understanding of people's different abilities to absorb knowledge.

With a positive attitude, you focus on the student's ability to develop socially and academically in your collaboration with other teaching categories at the school. You have clear communication, understand the importance of being a team player, and contribute with a positive spirit. You are flexible, proactive, and have a solution-oriented focus on the student's development and best interests.
