Development Leader for Falkenberg Municipality

The development department provides strategic support to the municipal council, group management, and the municipal director, working on the development and governance of the entire municipal group. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Falkenberg Municipality, like others, faces the need for transformation. Both to ensure a sustainable future for coming generations and to continue delivering good welfare. As a development leader, you play a central role in driving and enabling cross-municipal development and change. You work at a strategic level with a focus on strengthening the organization's ability to meet future needs through developed working methods, structures, and governance.

Your tasks include initiating, leading, and coordinating development processes that span multiple operations and often combine analysis, dialogue, co-creation, and implementation. The role is as much about creating direction, engagement, and learning as it is about producing decision-making materials.

Investigations and analyses are part of the assignment, especially in connection with major changes, transformations, or organizational development. This may involve producing impact assessments, decision-making materials, or proposals for developed structures, always focusing on long-term sustainability, wholeness, and operational benefit. You work closely with political leadership, administrative management, and operations, contributing to ensuring that changes are well anchored, clear, and feasible, from idea to actual effect in everyday life.

The role also includes functioning as consultative support to managers and leadership and contributing to other ongoing tasks in the development department, such as environmental analysis, governance models, and planning and follow-up processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in change management and organizational development in a politically governed organization. You have extensive experience in conducting qualified analyses and investigations, particularly in connection with reorganizations and other major changes.

You have a consultative and structured working method, are used to working with complex issues, and can translate analyses into clear decision-making materials. You have an academic background focused on organizational development, such as human resources and labor science, sociology, political science, psychology, business administration, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

It is an advantage if you also have experience in process mapping, improvement work, innovation, or service design.

To succeed in the role, you are analytical, structured, and have a good ability to drive processes forward. You are communicative, collaborative, and have an easy time building trust within the organization. You enjoy working on strategic issues, often several at once, and have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas and find direction in complex contexts.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.
