Open Care for Children, Youth and Families is Seeking Colleagues

Open Care for Children, Youth and Families is actively searching for two committed and experienced colleagues. The organization has been established for many years and is well-known in Borlänge. We are growing rapidly as we will soon welcome Ex-it (open care for youth/young adults with risk behavior/dependency and criminality) to our operations and are also hiring new staff based on the intentions of the new Social Services Act. With us, you will have fourteen family therapists and four colleagues who specialize in treatment in the area of Domestic Violence, working with both victims and perpetrators.

Together, we have a long and broad knowledge base to rely on, and we continuously train our staff in evidence-based methods to ultimately benefit our families in Borlänge.

Our ambition is to be a resource during change processes in families where there is a need for advice, support, and treatment to promote good conditions for children and youth. We offer various forms of support to parents, children, and youth, and our primary task is to contribute to safety and good care.

The daily work is coordinated by our two coordinators. Currently, most of the work is done on behalf of the social services. However, our intention is to accept more families without a support decision from the authorities. Open Care is part of a service within social welfare that works with interventions in its own right, which means we try to find solutions locally as much as possible.

Our values certainly attract you!

  • I am here for the residents of Borlänge
  • I enjoy challenges
  • I meet every person with openness

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Family therapists always strive to provide the individuals we work with motivation and tools to manage difficulties and challenges with the best interests of the children in focus. The work is conducted in our premises, at home, or at another location based on the needs. Working hours may sometimes need to be adjusted for shorter periods, as some assignments involve observations in the morning or evening.

An important part of the work is collaboration with other actors, both internally within social services and externally, for example, with schools and child psychiatric services. We also strive for collaboration with families' private networks to find long-term solutions to the challenges families face. We live in a society that is moving faster and faster, which places demands on the organization to keep up with developments in the outside world and adapt the operations based on the needs of the residents of Borlänge.
