We are looking for a support assistant for Wallingården's daily activities for users with LSS decisions.

This is a daily activity center where we work based on each user's conditions and needs.

We work in two groups, where users work both individually and in groups. In our work, we use cognitive aids such as sign language support and Handi. Each user has an individual implementation plan that aims to provide meaningful activities and offer the individual stimulation, development, community, and participation in society.

We work with a clear structure and all users have individually adapted days.

Our goal is for the user to feel safe, be involved, and independent.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of a support assistant involve you, together with your colleagues, meeting the individual needs of users for support in their daily work. The tasks are varied based on the users' individual support needs, with the aim of increasing the individual's participation and independence. The work involves supporting users in their daily lives and creating as meaningful and good a life as possible. Heavy lifting may occur.

The work includes establishing implementation plans, documenting, and having contact with various networks related to the assignment. It is important that you are engaged and focused on the user's best interests and work individually adapted. The work can be challenging and varied, so you need to have a flexible working style while adhering to the existing frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic requirements for the position

• Child and youth program or health and care program or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• Experience working with self-harming behavior and outwardly aggressive behavior
• Documented experience working with the target group within LSS
• Documentation
• Computer skills
• Driver's license, manual transmission
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is proactive and has a user focus to develop the work according to the needs of users and the organization. Since the work in daily activities is changeable, you need to be flexible and have a creative view of your role and be prepared for your assignment to change based on needs. You quickly absorb new knowledge and use your experience flexibly. You need to be solution-focused and able to structure and plan content for users based on their conditions and goals.

It is important that you have a professional approach and the ability to create trusting and lasting relationships. It is essential to meet people with complex needs and varying issues.

You enjoy working both individually and in a group, collaborating with others, and helping each other in the group to achieve the goals set by the organization.

Desirable qualifications

• Training in low-affect responses
• Clarifying pedagogy
• Training in psychiatry/neuropsychiatric disabilities
• Sign language, AAC/TAAC
