Description

We within the Social Services are looking for a colleague who wants to join our team working with adults in need of financial assistance.

In Orsa, the entire social services are organized in one unit, which facilitates close cooperation with the client in focus.

Responsibilities

The work involves having a strong interest in people living in socially vulnerable situations. Our goal is to ensure that residents of Orsa Municipality who need assistance for their livelihood are offered support that leads to change. The position involves conducting investigations according to SoL to assess the need for financial assistance and to evaluate interventions to empower individuals towards work, employment, or education. The work also includes working with adults who may be victims of violence in close relationships.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in social work with individuals facing problematic life situations, which may be caused by financial issues, exposure to violence, criminality, or substance abuse. We prefer that you have good documentation skills, preferably in the Life Care system, and a valid driver's license.

You are good at structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work while being flexible and able to see opportunities in changes. It is important for us that you have a good ability to work both in a team and independently.

The role as an authority practitioner and decision-maker means it is important to be clear while maintaining trust and relationships with clients. To facilitate change in an individual's life situation, it is essential that your approach is dignified and respectful, even when the situation may be perceived as challenging.

Social Services Sector

The social services sector includes elderly care with special housing and home care, special care for individuals with disabilities, social services (IFO), labor market unit (AME), and the nutrition unit.

The social services work with support and advice for children, youth, and their families, individuals with dependency issues, financial assistance, and certain services for individuals with mental disabilities.
