The Social Services Administration works on the principle that all people we meet have the same value and are unique. Within the administration, there are IFO, LSS operations, social psychiatry, health and medical care, home care, and special accommodations. About 800 employees work here around the clock for our target groups.

Within social services, there is IFO with adults, children, and families as well as financial support. We work in various ways to develop the investigation and follow-up work around children, families, youth, and adults. We seek new methods and develop internal and external collaboration to make good assessments and find effective solutions to the needs we encounter.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the financial support unit, you have an important societal mission that involves investigating the individual's need for support for self-sufficiency and assessing the right to financial assistance in the meantime. Together with the individual, you create a comprehensive picture of their resources, barriers to self-sufficiency, and need for interventions to jointly find the individual's path to self-sufficiency and an independent life.

The work involves client meetings, mapping and investigating, coordinating needs and interventions, making decisions, and documenting. You also actively collaborate internally and externally with, among others, the Employment Agency, the Region, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Labor Market Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply should have a degree in social work or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is an advantage if you have studied social law. Previous experience of authority exercise within social services, preferably financial assistance, is considered an asset. The work requires knowledge of current legislation, practice, and other authority publications relevant to the area.

We are looking for someone who is confident and able to maintain focus and calm even in stressful situations. You have good collaboration skills and can relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner. In your work, you are structured and can plan and manage your own cases independently while also being able to ask for help when needed.

You have a good approach and the ability to understand people's living situations. We work solution-focused to see possibilities and coach based on the individual’s strengths. Education and experience from a solution-focused approach are therefore advantageous. You have the ability to adapt your communication based on needs and situations.

Since a large part of your tasks involves communicating and documenting, good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required. You should also be able to make yourself understood in English; other language skills are an advantage. The work requires good computer skills and familiarity with documentation. We work in the operational system Pulsen combine/classic.
