We are now looking for a hospital priest or deacon with a commitment to the people living here in the Siljansbygden region of northern Dalarna. We have three districts; Mora, Sollerön/Venjan, and Våmhus, which collaborate and strengthen each other. The hospital church is also included.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for you, a priest or deacon, who wants to help develop the hospital church at Mora hospital and be an important part of a congregation with a big heart.

While you work independently at the hospital church, you are also an important part of the team in Mora parish. Your primary workplace is at Mora hospital, where you have pastoral conversations, meet patients, relatives, and staff, and are present in both everyday and more urgent work.

You are also involved in various activities of Mora parish in different ways, such as participating in worship services, mentoring, providing crisis support, leading conversation groups for survivors, and being a resource with your special skills and interests within our team. As a hospital priest, a small number of church services per month are also included. If you are interested in leadership, there is an opportunity to combine your position with a role as a district manager in the parish.

Your Profile

You are an ordained priest or deacon in the Church of Sweden's order. In addition, we place great importance on your personal qualities. It is desirable to have training in hospital chaplaincy, but if you lack it, we offer it.

We are looking for someone who has passion and heart for the people living and working in our part of the world. You work independently but also enjoy being part of a multifaceted team. You have solid conversational skills, are attentive and empathetic, and have the ability to set boundaries for yourself. You are positive, secure, and solution-oriented. You build relationships both at the hospital and in the rest of the parish and instill confidence in your work.

Requirements for the position include good language skills in Swedish, where you can express yourself well in both speech and writing, as well as having a driver's license.
