The Adult Psychiatric Clinic is responsible for the region's psychiatric inpatient care. We are located in Falun and Säter. The operation in Säter consists of psychiatric emergency reception and two psychiatric wards for patients with affective disorders and complicated psychiatric conditions. In Falun, there are two wards, one general psychiatric and one addiction ward, as well as LARO and ECT reception. The treatment team supports the Adult Psychiatry wards with consultative efforts based on our various professional competencies. The treatment team consists of social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Team members support each other and collaborate in various ways in our shifting cases. Travel is required as we support each other at different locations.

Social Worker, Temporary Position, for the Adult Psychiatry Treatment Team Säter/Falun

As a social worker in the treatment team, you contribute with the psychosocial perspective, including psychological, systemic, and social legal perspectives, thereby ensuring that psychosocial issues are not medicalized. You work to empower patients and their relatives to receive the right support.

Job responsibilities may include:

• Identifying dependency issues and violence in close relationships
• Identifying the needs of relatives and minor children for support during hospitalization
• Assessing patients' needs for psychosocial and emotional support
• Helping patients and relatives navigate the healthcare system and providing information about community resources
• Assisting patients with applications to municipalities and other actors, such as LSS, transport services, guardians, etc. We prefer that you have good knowledge of current legislation and can work autonomously within it.

We strive to create meaningful inpatient care for our patients. Among other things, we are working to implement Safewards so that patients feel involved in their care and have meaningful activities during the day that can also enhance their well-being at home. Activities may include mindfulness, exercise, conversations, and other forms of guided activation. Therefore, we are looking for a person who, in addition to the regular social work duties, wants to participate in daily activation and lead activities based on their own areas of interest.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Degree in Social Work
• Driver's license category B, manual transmission

It is advantageous if you:

• Are a licensed healthcare social worker
• Have experience working in psychiatry
• Have experience working in social services
• Have knowledge about children as relatives, violence in close relationships, and dependency knowledge
• Have interest or experience in leading groups

We place great emphasis on personal suitability for this temporary position as there are opportunities for extension.

As a newly hired social worker, you will receive an introduction to the entire operation and also participate in the Division's training. Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of flexible hours if the operation allows, and also the possibility to work part-time. Work in the treatment team is independent, and you can largely plan your day yourself based on the assignments you receive. The temporary position extends until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
