Family Therapist for Outpatient Care, Ludvika Municipality

In Ludvika, children and youth are important! We show this by making children and youth the center of our municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and youth have been gathered under one committee. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and also individual and family care. A common feature of all activities is a conscious quality effort to constantly develop and improve work with children and youth.

Individual and family care is part of the Social and Education Administration in Ludvika Municipality. We have about 120 employees and are organized into five units: Reception and Investigation, Support and Welfare, Foster Homes and Family Law, Outpatient Care, AMI. As an employee of Ludvika Municipality, you have the opportunity for wellness grants, flexible hours, and vacation day exchange. We offer further education, external supervision, and close support from colleagues, supervisors, and unit managers.

Workplace

The Outpatient Care Unit consists of a total of 30 employees divided into Family Teams, Intermediate Teams, Parent Advisors, Dependency Teams, Support Housing/Residential Support, and Field Social Workers. We are now looking for a therapist for our Family Team, which currently consists of six therapists.

Job Responsibilities

As a family therapist in the Family Team, you will work with needs-based interventions with the task of conducting change work together with families in need of support. You will work with family therapy interventions in the form of conversations with parents, children/youth, and families. The work may also involve providing practical support and guidance to the families we meet. The work takes place in our premises, in the families' home environments, or at other relevant locations. We strive to involve the entire family system in the change work and see the network around the family as an important resource. You will work independently, in teams with colleagues, and in close collaboration with other actors.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude in meeting people, good collaboration skills, and who sees the team as an asset where we collectively drive organizational development. You are flexible and see solutions rather than obstacles. To succeed as a therapist, your personality is important, and great emphasis will therefore be placed on your personal qualities. Documentation obligations according to applicable legislation.

We base our work on a systemic approach, attachment-based work, and place great importance on family participation and making the child's voice visible in the implementation of the interventions we offer.
