The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) Region Dalarna offers specialized care for children and adolescents up to 18 years old with more severe mental health issues and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. There is now an opportunity for you as a licensed psychologist to become part of our team at the BUP reception in Ludvika.

Our area of operation is broad and encompasses issues such as trauma, depression, self-harm, anxiety, compulsions, eating disorders, sleep disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities, such as ADHD and autism. We work cross-professionally to provide the best assessments and care for our children and adolescents. BUP Region Dalarna consists of five outpatient clinics as well as regional resources with an acute team, ward 68 for inpatient care, a family therapy unit, and an eating disorder unit. BUP Region Dalarna is currently undergoing a transformation journey, where we are developing our working methods to meet the future needs within child and adolescent psychiatry. The BUP reception in Ludvika is located at Ludvika Hospital. The reception has pleasant facilities in a calm environment. Here, a warm, cheerful professional team works with nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and management. Health and Social Care Social Worker, BUP Reception Ludvika Job Responsibilities

As a social worker, you contribute the psychosocial perspective in health and social care, including psychological, systemic, and social legal perspectives regarding patients and relatives. You are an important team member in the cross-professional collaboration where you have particularly good knowledge of societal and social influencing factors that can underlie ill health and child psychiatric symptoms. In your work as a social worker with basic psychotherapeutic training at our BUP reception, you will work with:

• Mapping, assessment, diagnosis, and conversation treatment of children and adolescents
• Individual CBT treatment for children and adolescents with various forms of mental health issues, often in combination with neuropsychiatric conditions
• Supportive conversations and suicide prevention
• Parental support and family interventions
• Group treatments, such as anxiety and depression groups
• Follow-up and evaluation of treatment interventions

The work also often includes contact and collaboration with healthcare neighbors, schools, and social services. You actively collaborate with the team at the reception to receive support in patient work.

Requirements:

• Social work degree
• Licensed health and social care social worker
• Basic psychotherapeutic training, Level 1 CBT

Desirable:

• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatric work

To succeed in this role, you need to be secure, have good collaboration skills, be structured yet flexible, and able to adapt treatment methods to individual needs. You meet children and families where they are and instill trust. You enjoy challenges and taking personal responsibility in treatments and patient matters. You want to help create a good work environment and contribute ideas for operational development. We would like you to be interested in the development and quality assurance of treatment interventions aimed at the target group. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
