We will have assignments in various parts of the municipality's operations. Current areas of activity will include preschool, elderly care, group homes, and the food unit. Areas of activity may change depending on the number of applications we receive.

Job Responsibilities

Working as a summer employee means that you will be involved in various tasks and duties in one of the municipality's different operations. You may work both outdoors or indoors depending on which area you end up in.

This could be in one of our preschools where you will have the opportunity to take care of the children and be a good role model. In elderly care/group homes, you may help set the table, talk and socialize with the elderly/users, or play a game of Fia med knuff. For those who enjoy working outdoors, there are opportunities at the swimming facility Plasket or the maintenance department where you will be weeding and beautifying the areas around our municipal operations. We also offer work within the food unit where you will assist in the municipality's kitchen.

Summer jobs are divided into 3 periods, each consisting of 2 weeks where you work 6 hours a day. You can work either weeks 26-27, 28-29, or 30-31. NOTE! We cannot guarantee that you will work in the area/time period you requested.

Qualifications

To apply for a summer job with us, you must:

• be registered in Vansbro Municipality
• be born in 2009 or 2010
• not have any other job this summer

For many young people, summer jobs are their first job, making it a great opportunity to learn responsibility, collaborate with others, and take initiative. We appreciate curiosity and engagement. Employment as a summer worker means that, like other employees, you are expected to follow the workplace's schedule and rules.

Important Information!

We will contact you via email when we offer summer jobs, and we need your response to the offer within 7 days. In some cases, we will call to offer jobs. If we do not receive a response within 7 days, we will move on to the next applicant. It is important that you provide the correct email address and mobile number so you do not miss the summer job offer. If you do not have a functioning email address, we ask you to create one before applying.

If more applicants meet the requirements than there are positions, a lottery will determine whether you get a spot.

When you come to us to sign your employment contract, you need to bring a valid extract from the criminal record since there may be jobs in environments at the municipality's schools.
