JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We at the Child and Youth Unit are looking for a social worker to join our team, which is characterized by a strong sense of teamwork, high competence, and strong commitment. Together, we work to make a difference for children and young people in Hedemora municipality.

With us, you will work with children and young people aged 0-20 years who have become relevant to us at social services for various reasons.

Your main tasks will be:

• to investigate the child's/young person's situation according to BBIC (the child's needs in focus),
• to make assessments according to SoL and LVU
• to conduct follow-ups of approved interventions.

In the investigation and follow-up work, you will collaborate with the child's network, such as preschool and school, healthcare, BUP, police, and other authorities. The work also involves motivating and encouraging individuals and families to change. There is an opportunity to specialize in investigations or interventions.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and a genuine interest in working with children, young people, and families. Previous experience in public authority work in the area of children and youth is an advantage.

As a person, we see that you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You view relationships in their proper perspective and have a good ability to distinguish between the personal and professional. You have a good ability to create relationships and build trust. In your work, you need to have good collaborative skills and enjoy working with your own team as well as with other organizations and authorities.

In the role of social worker, it is also important that you are flexible, can easily adapt to changing circumstances, and can adjust your working methods according to the needs and goals of the organization. At the same time, you are self-driven and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.

Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, it is a requirement that you can express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. In this recruitment, we place great importance on your personal qualities.

Requirements:

• Degree in social work
• Driver's license B
