Ålsta Preschool and Primary School is beautifully located in the new Barkarbystaden, adjacent to beautiful natural areas. The school is situated in newly built premises (moved in ht-23). The school will be a fully developed F-6 school in the academic year 26/27.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a preschool teacher/teacher in after-school care, you contribute to stimulating and challenging students' curiosity, development, and learning. Furthermore, you are knowledgeable about governing documents, interested in operational development, and have a strong ambition to develop the after-school care activities.

You have knowledge of the curriculum and can translate it into practical operations. Based on the curriculum, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for the teaching in after-school care.

You participate in students' entire day alongside both class teachers and the work team, especially before and after school hours and during breaks. You maintain regular professional contact with guardians, student health services, and other school staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Finds it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, guardians, and other staff. You relate to children and adults in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. You see collegial learning as a given and a prerequisite for creating new and deepened knowledge.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work effectively. You develop students' ability to learn and involve them in the planning of the activities. You have high and positive expectations of the students and are solution-focused. Furthermore, you possess a strong desire to create the best educational conditions for the students.
• Is socially active in professional contexts. Is communicative and can build and maintain secure relationships.
• Is calm and controlled in stressful situations. Maintains a realistic perspective on situations and focuses on the right things.

Requirements:

• Qualified preschool teacher, primary school teacher in after-school care, or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school or after-school care.

Meritorious:

• Qualification in art, crafts, or sports.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position requires good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
