The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary schools, after-school care, high schools, and adult education.

At Ekillaskolan, we emphasize every student's right to receive education at a level adapted to them. Ekillaskolan should be a place where all students and staff feel comfortable and secure, and where students leave school with self-esteem and confidence – prepared for further studies and a good place in adult society. We aim to find the paths and methods that lead to more and more students passing all subjects by the time they leave school in year 9.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a certified teacher in Mathematics/Natural Sciences with experience in teaching. For us, qualities such as secure leadership in the classroom, clarity, and relational competence are important. You must be well-versed in the curriculum and course syllabi and have experience in collaboratively planning a term for the subject, making assessments, and assigning grades. You should be comfortable working in a team but also independently. We seek someone who is passionate about teaching and developing students' abilities and preparing them for life and the future. You have good leadership skills, pedagogical insight, and see collaboration with colleagues as a given. You are structured, flexible, and self-driven. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and have the ability to individualize and differentiate instruction based on the student's and group's needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certified teacher with training in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward, and easily create new relationships with students and your colleagues in other contexts. You are collaborative and adapt through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You see more solutions than problems and want to find solutions to arising issues.
