We offer

Kungsholmens västra gymnasium is centrally located at Campus Konradsberg on Kungsholmen. The school is growing and has about 1000 students with a strong growth rate as the school is popular. The school offers studies in Economics with specializations in economics and law, Natural Science program with a focus on Natural Science, Health and Care program, Social Science program with a focus on Behavioral Science and Social Studies. Your role

Kungsholmens västra gymnasium is now advertising a position as a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language in combination with program leader for our introductory program! Start in autumn 2026. Are you our new leader for the introductory program at Kungsholmens västra gymnasium?

We are looking for a program leader for our introductory program at the high school. You are a qualified teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language, preferably in combination with English or Social Studies. The role primarily involves teaching Swedish and Swedish as a second language for our students in Vocational Introduction in combination with leading the IM program. The position includes teaching in another subject either in IM or in national programs, depending on the subject combination. The position includes teaching, mentorship, and a leadership role at the school.

You will have close collaboration with the deputy principal and the program leader for the national Health and Care program. The work will involve a large degree of autonomy with exciting opportunities for developing your leadership.

At Kungsholmens västra gymnasium, we are very proud of our introductory program. We have come a long way in developing the program where we work proactively and preventively around the students and have over the years developed a very close collaboration with Student Health. Our work is characterized by working as a team around the students to support them in reaching their individual goals. In the role of program leader for IM, you will manage the work and continue the development of the introductory program together with the teachers who work here and together with Student Health.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who are a licensed high school teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language with experience working in introductory programs at the high school level. As a teacher, you are experienced and confident in your role as an educator. You are flexible and have an easy time meeting students with very different needs. You are very knowledgeable about NPF and passionate about your subjects. You achieve good goal fulfillment and create good relationships with your students and their guardians. You enjoy building relationships and are a teacher who can inspire and motivate colleagues and students. You are a natural leader and also self-driven and structured.

As a person, you have a sense of humor and can see the big picture in the small things. For us who work here, it is important that you have a big heart and are a positive force. It is also important that you are responsible, initiative-taking, and empathetic. You should easily motivate the students and be a clear and present leader in the classroom. You have an easy time creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You focus on both the students' results and well-being and are open to evaluating and developing your teaching to increase goal fulfillment and well-being for the students. You see collaboration with colleagues, school management, and student health as a given in the work of supporting students in reaching their goals.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in both high school and upper grades of primary school. Experience of school collaboration with external actors and authorities is also an advantage.
