We Offer You

We are looking for a substitute teacher who can step in and support the operations with short notice for substitute assignments within the vehicle and transport education at Rodengymnasiet. You will have the opportunity to work both within vehicle mechanical education and transport education in the program. This means that you should be well acquainted with workshop assignments where you can repair and maintain cars, trucks, and mobile machines. You also need to hold a driving license for C- CE as there will be occasions when assignments will require you to conduct driving exercises with our students in the transport program. You will replace our regular staff when they are on other assignments in the operations.

The Assignment

At Rodengymnasiet, we work concretely with a lesson design that involves a variety of student activities and teacher activities in the classroom or in practical moments in the workshop or within transport education. Each student should be met based on their conditions and needs. You need to be clear in your leadership while also having the capacity to consider students' opportunities to influence the structure and content of the teaching.

Challenges and Opportunities

The assignments place high demands on you as a substitute teacher to instruct and teach in a varied and methodical way, to conduct motivational conversations with students, and to provide all students with the best conditions for success. The school's proactive student health work requires the ability to work relationally together with the EHT and study and career counselors. You need to provide each student with support and instructions based on the upper secondary school's curriculum during lesson time.

What You Need to Bring

• You are used to working with people and providing good service within the vehicle technology industry, and you can repair cars as well as trucks and mobile machines.
• You hold driving license qualifications and YKB for C- CE and have good driving experience.
• You are flexible, open, and have good collaboration skills in interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• You have good leadership qualities and possibly experience as an APL supervisor within the vehicle and transport program's educational assignments.
• We place great value on your commitment, pedagogical competence, and ability to inspire.
