The Department of Global Public Health is an interdisciplinary institution aimed at deepening knowledge on how the health of populations can be improved at local, national, and global levels.
Many of the department's researchers serve as scientific advisors to authorities and other decision-makers at regional, national, and international levels. The department is responsible for three international master's programs, and researchers actively participate in teaching at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. The department has 12 research groups, around 120 doctoral students, and approximately 140 staff members.
We are now seeking a research assistant for Prof. Claudia Hanson's research group IMPAQT at the Department of Global Public Health. You will work alongside leading researchers at the intersection of climate change, global health, and maternal health. Our international, creative, and collaborative environment fosters high-quality research driven by curiosity and learning.
Your Role
In this position, you will support the research project High Horizon, which focuses on climate change and health. Your main tasks will include:
- Processing and analyzing research data.
- Assisting in scientific writing (e.g., reports and documentation).
- Supporting the conduct of interviews, focus groups, or transcriptions in Swedish and English.
- Opportunity to contribute to literature reviews or systematic reviews within ongoing research activities.
The position is full-time for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
Who Are You?
You should have:
- A master's degree in global health, public health, medicine, environmental health sciences, or similar.
- Experience with qualitative research methods (e.g., interviews, thematic analysis).
- Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- The ability to work with transcription of Swedish interviews and/or focus groups.
Desirable qualifications for the position:
- Experience in research on climate-related health effects.
- Experience or background in scientific writing.
- Experience conducting literature or systematic reviews.
- Skills in qualitative data collection.
