Our School:

Bällstabergsskolan is a two-parallel F–9 school in southern Vallentuna with proximity to Roslagsbanan. It is a safe and well-functioning school where both students and staff thrive. Students are given good conditions to develop both academically and socially. Our operations are characterized by dedicated and competent teachers, leisure staff, and student health who work together to ensure that each student reaches their full potential. The school has suitable facilities, and each department has its own dining room, creating a calm and pleasant environment. Among our facilities is also a large woodwork room equipped with new workbenches.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who wants to teach wood and metal craft for grades 3–9, where qualification in an additional subject is an advantage. The position also includes mentorship alongside a colleague for a class in upper secondary school. You have a relational approach and a clear leadership style in the classroom with the student in focus. You work in accordance with the curriculum, and your working method is characterized by guidance and stimulation to meet students both at group and individual levels. You are confident in using compensatory aids to meet different needs, and digital tools are a natural part of your teaching. You have good knowledge of grading and assessment and work systematically and consciously with this in your practice. You plan your teaching systematically and clearly, and can design pedagogical plans that are communicated to students and guardians via the school's digital platforms.

You will be part of a professional and self-driven team that together drives and develops the operations towards set goals and decisions made. You value collegial learning and are happy to collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to strengthen teaching as part of the school's systematic quality work. You are convinced that collaboration and consensus benefit students' development and see good cooperation with guardians as an important success factor in working for the student's best.

Qualifications:

• You are a certified teacher with qualifications in wood and metal craft.
• You have teaching experience.
• You are digitally savvy and have experience planning, documenting, and communicating teaching in digital learning platforms.
• It is an advantage if you have qualifications in an additional subject.
