Frans Schartaus Handelsinstitut conducts post-secondary vocational training within the framework of vocational higher education.

Our programs are created and implemented in close collaboration with the labor market. When you work with us, you work for one of Sweden's largest employers, the City of Stockholm, and for a school with a very good reputation. We currently have 15 different YH programs and several short courses. We are now looking for an education leader for the Pharmaceutical Technician program, who shares our values and philosophy. Your mission as an education leader:

As an education leader, you are responsible for one or more programs. Your direct supervisor is the vice-principal at the school.

In the role of education leader for our YH programs, you are responsible for:

• creating and maintaining industry contacts and working with environmental monitoring
• continuously following up and implementing governing documents from, among others, the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (MYH)
• participating in the application process regarding reapplications of existing programs and the development of entirely new YH programs
• having some budget responsibility and handling administrative tasks related to the role of education leader
• ensuring that students acquire relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies to become employable after graduation.
• continuously following up and developing quality work, actively participating in working groups and other important focus areas for our operations
• being responsible for pedagogical management as well as assessment and validation of learning
• ensuring that the curricula to be established by the management group are created and based on the national and European frameworks SeQF and EQF
• working with other educational cross-administrative tasks

You have a coaching approach, are interested in competence development, and always see opportunities and potential in developing others. You are the students' contact person, the executor of the management group, and responsible for ensuring that teachers deliver. You work closely with other program leaders, school management, and administrative support functions. Your work as an education leader is reviewed by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education through various inspections and the internal quality process of Frans Schartaus Handelsinstitut.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with a university degree or vocational higher education that the employer deems relevant. You also need to have work experience from the Life Science sector, chemical industry, and/or extensive experience as a skilled education leader within vocational higher education. It is advantageous if you are a certified Education Leader within vocational higher education, have pedagogical training, have worked as a teacher at the post-secondary level or with coaching, or have experience in pharmaceutical production. We would like you to have a broad network within Life Science. You also need to have very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, English, and the Office package, and be a good administrator.

To thrive in the role, it is important that you have good leadership skills, a coaching approach, possess drive, and have the ability to network with the labor market. You create engagement and participation and are attentive and communicate in a smooth and constructive manner. As a person, you have the courage to act according to your own convictions and keep yourself updated on what is happening in the labor market and vocational higher education. You are used to working towards goals and being guided by goal and result thinking in prioritization and actions. At the same time, you have no problem changing direction when goals change. You are responsible and plan your work effectively so that you meet deadlines.
