IES Upplands Väsby is now looking for a qualified Leisure Teacher/Leisure Pedagogue for our leisure center who can contribute to the development of our leisure activities. The position is a full-time temporary position that extends until August, starting as soon as possible/by agreement.

You will work to stimulate students' learning and development based on their needs, interests, and experiences, but also challenge them by inspiring new knowledge.

You are responsible for ensuring that students are offered a variety of working methods, forms of expression, and learning environments. Together with your colleagues, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the leisure activities.

As a leisure pedagogue with us, you need to work to offer our students a meaningful leisure time by encouraging social community and strengthening group relationships. You should also find it fun, stimulating, and exciting to work in leisure and to give each student the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and abilities.

You will have close collaboration with our leisure coordinator.

Qualifications

For this position, we are looking for someone who is a licensed leisure teacher for leisure centers or a licensed leisure pedagogue.

You are well acquainted with the curriculum and other governing documents in the school area, and you have good abilities to work towards set goals to develop the quality of the leisure center.

You are curious, creative, and can inspire and motivate your colleagues in the work team.

Your IT skills are good, and you work with interactive tools and documentation as a natural part of teaching.

For the position, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish and English languages, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and skilled at creating good relationships with both students and colleagues and guardians. You are clear and concise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to embrace new knowledge.
