Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago, with a unique combination of the serene beauty of nature and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, real estate, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care, and many more. We strive to ensure that all residents of Värmdö can live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who enable the dream of a vibrant and safe environment for homes, families, and businesses.

To succeed fully, we must have many and extensive competencies and work together for a common and trusting work culture, built on brave, responsible employees who understand the needs and wishes of the residents.

Our Operations

Lövhamra Nature Preschool offers an exciting opportunity for those who are passionate about children's development and learning and want to work in smaller child groups.

Our team consists of well-educated and dedicated educators who work together to create an inclusive and developing atmosphere. The environment is creative, and teaching takes place in project form. The preschool is popular and located near beautiful natural areas, providing children with opportunities for outdoor activities and nature experiences. We work based on current governing documents, Lpfö 18, which means we focus on children's rights, learning through play, and creating a safe and stimulating environment for all children. Our goal is for every child to feel seen, acknowledged, and have the opportunity to develop at their own pace. The preschool has its own kitchen with a chef who prepares meals from scratch.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in children's development who thrives in a creative and inclusive work environment. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop professionally and contribute to children's learning and well-being.

In the role of childcare worker, you will be exploratory, challenging, and provide tools for knowledge-seeking. You will convey joy and enthusiasm for interaction and cooperation with other children and adults. You will be involved in planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating the operations together with preschool teachers and others in the work team. We work based on current governing documents. Reflection and documentation are important parts of our work.

For this position, presenting a valid extract from the police criminal record is a prerequisite for employment. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Childcare education or similar is an advantage.

Värmdö Municipality offers a wellness allowance, SL card against net salary deduction, vacation exchange for extra days off, and much more. We also actively work to create health-promoting workplaces with a good working environment and apply smoke-free working hours.

We value the qualities that diversity brings to the organization and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds.

The employment is a fixed-term position, part-time for the remainder of the term.
