We are looking for someone who wants to work as a Support Assistant within LSS at a short-term accommodation and newly started children's home. You will meet individuals with unique and complex needs, and we want to give them the opportunity to develop, achieve their dreams, and participate in society on their own terms. Your new job
Your work mainly involves providing support to customers according to their needs and wishes. This can include everyday tasks such as cooking, shopping, laundry, and cleaning, but also planning leisure and other activities with the customer that can increase independence and trust in their own abilities and development. We work to create security and well-being with great respect for the individual's right to self-determination and integrity. Since our customers may have challenging or atypical behaviors, an important task is to work together with the team according to established routines and working methods that provide a safe and secure everyday life for everyone. The assignment can be emotionally demanding.
Your tasks include administration such as documentation, risk assessments, and the establishment of action plans. Together, we work to create a workplace where we set high goals, share knowledge, are curious, and have fun. We always prioritize the customer's interests!
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in working with people and who has a professional and flexible approach. You find it easy to work independently as well as collaboratively with others. You will perform your work with great responsibility. To succeed in this, we want you to have:
- High school education from the Nursing Program or the Child and Recreation Program including special pedagogy 1 and 2. Other education that the employer finds relevant may also be considered.
- Experience working within LSS services and knowledge of various diagnoses including neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF).
- Knowledge and experience of low-arousal approaches (LAB) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) as well as a good ability to apply this knowledge in practical work with individual customers.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language.
- Good computer skills.
- Driver's license B is a requirement.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
A police record extract must be presented at the interview.
Österåker Municipality applies electronic signing in certain systems, so you will need a mobile BankID.
