We are now looking for a planning engineer for the Street and Park department within our production management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a planning engineer, you have an important role in the municipality's work with streets, traffic, and public environments, working both strategically and operationally. The role involves many points of contact, both internally within the municipality and externally with authorities, road associations, and citizens.

Your main responsibilities include:

• handling traffic issues within the municipality, including traffic regulation, parking issues, and contacts with external authorities
• responsibility for contacts and administration related to private roads and road associations
• handling issues regarding street lighting
• administering and carrying out vehicle relocations according to applicable legislation
• handling and making decisions on permits for the use of public space according to the municipality's local regulations
• handling excavation permits

The work requires that you are structured and work according to clear processes.

Work in the production management's preparedness may also become relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

To meet the requirements of the assignment, we see that you have the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education, such as a university or vocational education in road, water construction, traffic, civil engineering, or other related fields, or alternatively long work experience that has provided equivalent knowledge.
• Good administrative skills, with experience in handling documentation, planning, and other administrative tasks, combined with good computer skills and a quick ability to familiarize yourself with new systems and programs.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently, structure your work, and drive your own processes forward.
• Good collaboration skills and a professional approach in contacts with internal and external parties.

It is an advantage if you have relevant work experience in street, park, traffic, or other municipal activities. The combination of relevant education and previous work experience is seen as a benefit. Knowledge and experience of technical software, such as GIS and/or CAD, as well as experience in authority exercise or handling cases according to laws and regulations, are also advantageous. Furthermore, experience in working with traffic issues, public space, excavation permits, or vehicle relocation is valuable.

You plan and organize your work well, meet deadlines, and have an analytical approach. You can work both in the present and with long-term planning. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.
