About the assignment

The assignment is part of the expansion of the East Coast Line and concerns the section Dingersjö–Kubikenborg, south of Sundsvall. The project includes approximately 10 km of new double track, the construction of 11 bridges, about 1.7 km of rock cutting, and complementary road and land works.

Construction is planned to start in 2028, and the production phase is expected to last until 2032. The project is currently in both planning and implementation stages.

About the role

As a design manager for land and BEST, you are responsible for leading and coordinating the design work for the sub-project Dingersjö–Kubikenborg. The role involves overall responsibility for planning, monitoring, and coordination in close collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration's project organization and external consultants. If necessary, you will also provide support in production planning and documentation for procurement.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Leading and monitoring design consultants regarding quality, time, and cost
• Coordinating the project's specialists in land and BEST
• Planning and monitoring the design work according to applicable governing documents
• Participating in the follow-up of time, economy, quality, work environment, and environment
• Developing and monitoring timelines
• Leading and participating in design and coordination meetings
• Ensuring that requirements, standards, and regulations are followed
• Reviewing and evaluating delivered documents

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. The consultant has 5 years of work experience as a project manager, assignment leader, or design manager within Land and BEST for the development of system documentation and construction documents for execution contracts. The experience must not be older than 8 years.
2. The consultant has been a design manager for railway plans up to the approval documentation, and the experience must not be older than 3 years.
3. The consultant must have completed BASÄSKYDD at the latest by the start of the assignment.
4. Valid training as BAS-P and BAS-U.
5. Must be able to express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
6. Driver's license B.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start on 2026-10-01 and end on 2027-09-30.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract under existing contractual terms for an additional 1+1+1+1+1 years.

Scope: The estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 80-90 percent of the annual working time for a resource.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Sundsvall. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's project office.
