Your New Workplace
Water is our most important food source.
Sundsvall and Timrå have some of the best water in Europe thanks to natural purification through hundred-thousand-year-old sand and gravel ridges.
At MittSverige Vatten & Avfall, we work for a sustainable society. Our constant presence with nature and people gives us a great responsibility and an important role in a functioning cycle. In our three owner municipalities Sundsvall, Timrå, and Nordanstig, over 120,000 residents live. It is for them, but perhaps even more together with them, that we work to drive, develop, and contribute knowledge in water and waste issues. Always with sustainability and the environment in focus. Our core values Courage, Openness, and Holistic View should always permeate the operations.
The water and sewage business area is responsible for ensuring that the majority of residents in Sundsvall, Timrå, and Nordanstig municipalities always have access to clean water, and that our rivers, lakes, and seas are protected from pollution. We meet society's needs for water services with a focus on high delivery reliability and community benefit in dialogue with our surroundings.
In our project unit, planning and construction projects are carried out within waterworks, treatment plants, pipeline networks, and transformation areas, in various phases from planning to construction. The work is done in teams with internal and external resources. Major investments include the expansion of municipal water and sewage along the Njurundakusten and water solutions for new industrial establishments in Torsboda. We are now looking for a designer for the renewal of the pipeline network. You will be one of four designers who, together with project managers, process engineers, and operations staff, work to ensure functionality, capacity, and future needs in a developing role with good support.
Your Contribution as a Designer
As a designer, you have an important role in ensuring that our projects are well thought out before implementation. Your area of responsibility mainly includes the investigation and design phase, where you work with design and production of drawings.
Your role includes, among other things:
- Ensuring that requirements, conditions, and parameters exist for assigned tasks and actively gathering necessary information.
- Carrying out design and producing construction drawings.
- Reporting status in the design process at design meetings and early notifying deviations to the project manager.
- Planning and coordinating investigations together with the project manager to meet set timelines.
- Participating in the follow-up and closure of projects together with the project manager.
Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a civil or engineering graduate or has a vocational education focused on water, preferably as a water designer or pipeline technician. Alternatively, you have other relevant experience in the field that we assess as equivalent.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
- Has experience working in various data systems and has good administrative skills.
- Holds a B driver's license.
Meritorious Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous professional experience in design within the water sector.
- Education in and/or good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience in modeling water pipeline networks.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D and other relevant tools such as MIKE+, MIKE Urban, Novapoint, or similar software. (Please note this clearly in your CV)
As a person, you are solution-oriented and analytical and approach complex challenges in a structured and methodical way. You collaborate well and communicate confidently and clearly with both internal and external parties. A service-oriented attitude comes naturally to you, and you value building good and long-term relationships. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and have an easy time adapting to changing conditions. Even in stressful situations, you remain calm and controlled.
We place great importance on personal suitability!
