About the assignment

The assignment involves the expansion of the East Coast Line with a new double track between Kubikenborg and Sundsvall, as well as the development of Sundsvall's travel center, including the replacement of the hanging structure. The project includes approximately 2.5 km of new double track, a new connection to Sundsvall's railway yard, and the replacement of the contact line system (including AT) and auxiliary power.

The initiative aims to improve accessibility, transfer times, and traffic safety for travelers in Sundsvall. For this assignment, we are now looking for an Electrical Site Manager (contact line and low voltage) who will be part of the Swedish Transport Administration's project organization in Sundsvall and contribute to a safe, efficient, and high-quality implementation of the project.

About the role

In the role of Electrical Site Manager, you will support the project management of the Swedish Transport Administration in production related to contact lines and low voltage. You will work closely with contractors and other site managers to ensure quality, progress, and safe execution. The role includes both field and office work, and evening/night work may occur.

The assignment includes, among other things:

  • Monitoring the contractor's work against contracts, quality, safety, and timelines
  • Coordinating and managing production-related technical issues on-site
  • Being the daily contact with the contractor and collaborating with other site managers
  • Participating in inspections, critical work, connections, testing, and commissioning
  • Reviewing self-checks, control plans, and work preparations
  • Participating in production meetings and contributing to the management of changes and additional work (ÄTA)
  • Ensuring that documentation and materials meet contract requirements

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

  1. Valid training as Safety and Security Leader at the start of the assignment.
  2. Participated in at least one (1) project as a site manager for contact lines or site manager/BPU for contact lines; the project must have involved the reconstruction of an existing railway yard where the reconstruction included the replacement of contact line bridges and hanging structures. The reconstruction must have been carried out in phases with at least two operational start-ups/connections.
  3. At least 3 years of experience as a site manager, construction manager/BPU, in contact lines and low voltage for assignments concerning railway construction contracts. The experience should not be older than 10 years.
  4. The consultant must provide one (1) reference assignment that confirms that the experience requirement is met. This must be a railway project involving contact line work and low voltage work with a budget over 10 million SEK.
  5. Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as standards and directives within the relevant technical area.
  6. Knowledge and practical experience of AMA EL/MER facility 17 or later.
  7. Knowledge and practical experience of General Terms (AB04).
  8. Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  9. Practical experience in handling the Swedish Transport Administration's MSS system.
  10. Driving license B.

Assignment information

The assignment is to start no later than 2026-06-01 and run until 2028-03-31 from the date the contract comes into effect.

Option: The client has the unilateral opportunity to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 1+1+1+1 years.

Scope: Estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 80-95% of annual working hours for a resource.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Sundsvall. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's project office.

The assignment may periodically involve work in the evenings, nights, and weekends, depending on production needs.
